Description
Kinshi Masamune Junmai 60 has a very traditional junmai aroma and taste despite the higher than usual polishing ratio. You will only notice delicate herbal and steamed rice notes in this generally not very aromatic sake. The taste is dry and clean but not very sophisticated with a quick finish and a soft texture. As the sake warms up, the sweetness of rice starts spreading in your mouth. Kinshi Masamune Junmai 60 pairs greatly with grilled fish, chicken, meat and vegetables. But it should also be good with tuna sashimi or mushroom risotto.
The Kinshi Masamune sake brewery was founded by Matsuya Kyubei in 1781 in Kyoto, south of the Imperial Palace. The brewery moved to Fushimi in 1880. Besides sake, the company also makes beer using the famous “Momonoi” spring water, which has been used for brewing sake.
