Ichinokura Mukansa Honjozo Sake “Extra Dry”
Extra-dry light, smooth and crisp sake with a bit of vanilla in the taste and delicate rose and cherry aroma.
Description
Ichinokura Mukansa Honjozo “Extra Dry (Chokarkuchi)” is a light and crisp sake with balanced acidity, smooth texture and a mild finish. It’s not particularly aromatic but has a delicate aroma of cherry, rose and minerals. As the name suggests, Ichinokura Mukansa is a quite dry sake with some bitterness, vanilla and a tiny bit of melon in the taste. The sake is definitely is better enjoyed with food rather than on its own. I had it with yakiniku and it was a very good pairing. Ichinokura was created in 1973 through a merger of four sake breweries, which history ranges from 70 to 300 years.
