Description
Another great offering from Kanpai London Kraft Sake brewery, Kumo (which means a cloud in Japanese) Tokubetsu Junmai Nigori sake. Fresh and zesty aroma with strong yeasty and diary notes, grapefruit and green apples and a bit of rice. Kanpai Kumo has a silky texture, medium body and a very nice long finish. It’s off-dry, a bit unusual for nigori sake which tends to be on a sweeter side and has a gentle vanilla flavour. Overall, Kanpai Kumo is a very mild and smooth sake rich in umami.
Kumo sake is rougher than usual nigori sake, which is a distinctive Kanpai’s style. It makes its very good with grilled fish and other rich food.
