Gekkeikan Junmai is a straightforward junmai sake brewed in the USA by Gekkeikan, one of the most prominent Kyoto breweries. It’s not particularly aromatic and has savoury a dry savoury profile with noticeable alcohol, especially if you drink it cold. The taste gets more mellow at room temperature as some sweetness unfolds. Warmed up, Gekkeikan Junmai develops more flavours but still remains a straight no-thrill sake. It’s good with rich and simple food like grilled meat, burgers or BBQ.
