Premium Sparkling Sake Tasting & Masterclass

The popularity of sparkling sake is skyrocketing both in Japan and overseas. Get into the festive season and come explore this delicious style that’s helping to inspire fizz fans to get into the wonderful world of sake – we are confident you’ll discover a new favourite beverage!
Capturing the bubbles in sparkling sake is technically challenging, and the breweries making sparkling sake each forge their own path to create a unique product that reflects their brewing philosophy. We will share the fascinating stories of each brewery and sake with you during this masterclass.
On this luxurious evening you will taste seven premium sparkling sake from a variety of styles, accompanied by festive fine cheeses and Japanese-influenced nibbles while learning all about the fascinating world of sparking sake including history and production methods.
The UK is also leading the way in sparkling sake production outside of Japan, with Cambridgeshire’s Sparkling Sake Brewery – their award-winning limited seasonal release “Awa nigori” will be one of the seven sparkling sake tasted on the night.
About the Instructor and School:
Dr. Sarah Stewart teaches sake, wine and cheese classes at West London Wine School. She is a WSET Certified Sake Educator, judges sake at the International Wine Challenge, hold extensive sake and wine qualifications, and serves as the Membership & Events Officer for the British Sake Association. She lived in Japan for two years and returns annually to continue her beverage studies there. You can find her @sakestudies on Instagram.
